When we started farming in 2008 it was our goal to eventually be self-sufficient, to live in the middle of nowhere and provide our four children a good life with healthy foods. Through the years our goals and dreams grew and our farm has developed into something more than I ever imagined. Our desire to provide our family with affordable Farm Fresh Foods has grown into a passion to do so much more for the community around us! 

Through our Farm Visits and Critter Cuddle Events we have welcomed many neighbors from near and far to come for a visit and decompress from their hectic lives. Spending a few hours with the animals seemed to really help so many rejuvenate, becoming a weekly therapeutic retreat for some, who later became our friends. When we first opened up A Simpler Time Farm to the community around us we didn't know what to expect but we knew that we wanted it to be a way to help folks relax and get back to nature, take a step back from their busy lives and just be. Since then it has also become our way of helping others to start, to build and to grow their own farms, their own gardens, and as we have shared our life and the things we've learned along our journey through our Workshops, our Mentorships, farm tours and more we have grown to be able to offer more to the communities around us.

Whether you're just starting out on your farming journey or you've been traveling this road for awhile, we're happy to help! If you're looking to learn a new skill, how to hand milk a cow or a goat, how to raise pigs, butcher your own livestock, grow your own garden or something else entirely, we are here to help! We want you to succeed with whatever your farm journey goals might be! Maybe you don't want to farm and you just want to visit a farm, we can help you with that too! We farm a variety of livestock here at A Simpler Time Farm and we strive everyday to be the best livestock stewards to our animals!
